There is a basic regulation of university dormitories in Poland. Most of the major public universities have their own dormitories. Private universities, on the other hand, either do not offer dormitory services or refer applicants to contracted private dormitories or apartments. When applying for a dormitory at public universities, there is usually no room selection; after the application, the student is directed to the dormitory in whichever location is available according to the department/faculty applied for.
Private Dormitories
If the university you are applying to does not have its own dormitory, or if you cannot benefit from the dormitory quota due to application deadlines, or if you want to have a more comfortable accommodation and private space, you can choose private dormitory accommodation in the destination city.
Shared Student
Student house accommodation in Poland is an alternative option for students who do not want to stay in dormitories or cannot benefit from these facilities. These houses usually only accommodate university students and offer single, double or triple room options.
Rent a House in Poland
There are some things that students who want to rent a house in Poland should pay attention to; First of all, apartments in Poland are usually 1+1 and 2+1, the number of 3+1 and above apartments is relatively less and the rents of these apartments are above average. Apartments in Poland are usually partially furnished, with some basic items such as a bed, desk, wardrobe, refrigerator, kettle and oven. Students can buy the missing items themselves if they wish.
